Alexandra Mavrikis is an artist and furniture maker who is currently pursuing her MFA in Woodworking and Furniture Design at the San Diego State University. Originally from New York, she quickly got out of there as soon as she could and eventually settled in Washington for a brief period of time where she received her BA in Environmental Policy from the Evergreen State College. The constant rain proved to be too much so she went south. After receiving her furniture design training from Cerritos College in Los Angeles she has been working in fine furniture restoration and as a woodworking educator. Her work currently explores memory through our shared history.
